  • Exploring the Interaction Between Higher Vocational Colleges and Local Economies in the Context of Education Supply-Side Structural Reform

    This study examines the relationship between higher vocational colleges and local economies in China against the backdrop of educational structural reforms. It seeks to create a system for measuring how well vocational education aligns with regional economic needs by using mixed research methods. Findings point to disparities between provinces and early-stage coordination challenges, especially in Sichuan Province. Recommendations include addressing provincial disparities, reforming policies for better collaboration, updating vocational education to meet economic changes, and altering perceptions of vocational education to support sustainable economic development.

  • On the influence of Bauhaus on modern design

    Bauhaus, the world’s first art college established solely for the development of design education, was founded in Germany in 1919. Although this specialized design school existed for only a brief decade, it profoundly influenced the direction of design development throughout the world. In the early 20th century, Bauhaus gradually entered the vision of the Chinese art circle as the scope and pattern of Chinese art broadened, attracting widespread attention. With the integration of Bauhaus ideas with architecture, new technologies, and new materials, it has exerted a profound influence on modern design in China.

  • Analysis and Discussion on the Publication of Creative Cultural Maps:
    Taking the "Chengdu Book of Songs Map" project as an Example

    With the rapid rise of the tourism and cultural and creative industries, the cultural and creative market rooted in map culture presents a bright prospect. In recent years, the variety of cultural and creative products derived from map themes has been increasing continuously, with significant improvements in quality. These products combine functionality, entertainment, and emotional appeal, attracting a broader audience. This paper analyzes the current development of map-based cultural and creative products using the “Chengdu Book of Songs Map” project as an example. It discusses the product design inspiration, market positioning, and element composition with cultural communication as the main thread. The paper also showcases the planned derivative products intended to reach a wider audience and concludes with suggestions for the development of creative cultural map products.

  • Exploring Effective Strategies For Integrating Industry Practices Into Teaching In Chinese Vocational Colleges

    The Chinese government has put forward clear requirements for vocational education in China, and in the document “Several Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Industry and Education”, the Chinese government has further made a comprehensive deployment, and the integration of industry and education has become a basic institutional arrangement for the national education reform and the development of human resources. Under the perspective of the integration of industry and education, the professional development of teachers in vocational colleges and universities is inseparable from enterprise practice. Teachers practicing in enterprises is an effective way to cultivate teachers with “teaching ability and practical ability”. This paper discusses how Chinese vocational colleges and universities can utilize their own advantages to encourage teachers to enhance their professional development through enterprise practice, from the connotation of industry-teaching integration, the relationship between enterprise practice and teachers’ professional development, and the construction of teachers’ enterprise practice mode.

    With the background of the information age, modern technologies represented by information technology and network echnology have played an increasingly prominent role in social construction and industry development. How to effectively apply the blended learning model of online and offline teaching to vocational higher education courses is a major topic of research in teaching at vocational colleges. In this course design, the blended learning based on the work process will be applied in the classroom teaching of the office software practice course, using the Chaoxing Learning Platform.

  • Research on the Development of Etiquette and Cultivation Coursesin Higher Vocational Colleges Under the Background ofSchoolenterprise Cooperation

    In January 2019, the State Council of China issued the “Implementation Plan for National Vocational Education Reform,” which explicitly called for the promotion of “teacher, textbook, and teaching method” reforms. It aimed to develop a large number of nationally planned textbooks through school-enterprise collaboration and advocated the use of new types of textbooks, such as loose-leaf and workbook-style, with the development of digital resources. The “Implementation Plan for National Vocational Education Reform” clearly and comprehensively indicates the direction of the development of vocational education textbooks in China. The use of textbooks is an indispensable part of the educational process. The use of high-quality textbooks that are suitable for the level of the school and students will contribute to the achievement of talent training goals. The development of new types of loose-leaf textbooks is an inevitable requirement for social progress, local development, school advancement, technological change, and teaching reform. Vocational colleges must prioritize the development of textbooks in order to improve their teaching and nurturing capabilities. Only when the textbooks meet the requirements of vocational colleges in educating students can they keep up with the times and meet the demand for high-level skilled talents in society.

  • The Implementation Status and Influencing Factors of “One Village, One Kindergarten” Policy in Z Village of Yi Ethnic Area in Liangshan Sichuan Province

    The “One Village, One Kindergarten” project is an policy, which implemented by the Chinese government in response to the poor foundation and low efficiency of early childhood education in ethnic minority areas. This policy has been implemented in ethnic areas of Sichuan Province, China since 2015, and it helps these ethnic areas to establish more village-level kindergarten, and to solve the kindergarten admission problem for children, and also greatly promote the development of early childhood education. In order to further promote the quality development of early childhood education in ethnic minority areas. It is imperative to understand the current development situation of the “One Village, One Kindergarten” policy in ethnic minority areas. This research will focus on the implementation status as well as influencing factors of the “One Village, One Kindergarten” program during its implementation. It will use quantitative research methods, mainly use SPSS data analysis to explore of evaluation of implementation status of this policy, and also the influencing factors affecting the implementation; and are these factors related to the current implementation status of the “one village, one kindergarten” education policy. The results shows that the demographic analysis provides the study with an in-depth understanding of the characteristics of the surveyed population, which helps to provide a comprehensive understanding of their perceptions and evaluations of the “one village, one kindergarten” policy. The interviewees showed neutral cognition and evaluation of the current implementation status of the policy. The influencing factors play a crucial role in influencing the overall effectiveness and success of the policy. More importantly, relevant analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between the current status of policy implementation and influencing factors, which highlights the interdependence of factors that determine the success of policy implementation.

  • Potential Benefits of Generative AI Technology Application in Promoting Visual Literacy Skills for Art Design Majors Towards a Digital Education Training Program

    With the development of society and the advancement of technology, China has entered an era of visual images. This study examines visual literacy strategies in the interaction between generative AI and visual learning among college students within a Chinese university. The study found that the application of generative AI has the potential to have a significant impact on art and design education. Recommendations include that schools should promote the holistic development of students, taking into account gender considerations; that young and older teachers and students should be encouraged to participate in technological further education; that technology applications should be incorporated into curriculum design to improve the professional preparation of teachers and students; and that school management should approve proposed programs to adopt better learning strategies.

  • Assessments of the General Education Curriculum and Students’ Professional Quality in Higher Vocational Colleges

    The Ministry of Higher Education of China has put forward the fundamental goal of cultivating talents with moral integrity and character in higher vocational colleges, requiring the cultivation of high-quality and highly skilled individuals who possess comprehensive development in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor skills. This implies that students should not only possess broad and solid foundational knowledge and proficient professional skills but also exhibit sound and noble character traits. They should possess an innovative spirit, thinking ability, creative capacity, learning aptitude, and transfer-ability to adapt to the era and societal development, ultimately developing these abilities into professional qualities. This requires the curriculum to make the necessary teaching reform to achieve the purpose of cultivating professional quality. This study is to explore how to build a general education course based on professional quality education in higher vocational education and to analyze its impact on students’ professional quality. Through a case study of the Etiquette and Cultivation course, the study examined how such a general education course based on professional quality education can help students develop the necessary skills and qualities in their careers.

  • Impact Of Participation In Intercollegiate Athletics On The Personal Lives Of Student-Athlete, Basis For Athletic School Program

    This study identified the impact of inter school sports participation on various dimensions of student athletes, including academic performance, social impact, personal support, value awareness, self discovery, self realization, academic retention, graduation, and the relationship between inter school participation and the personal lives of respondents. The result of this relationship will provide a basis for the planning and development of school sports projects and the development of student athletes.
