  • The Implementation Status and Influencing Factors of “One Village, One Kindergarten” Policy in Z Village of Yi Ethnic Area in Liangshan Sichuan Province

    The “One Village, One Kindergarten” project is an policy, which implemented by the Chinese government in response to the poor foundation and low efficiency of early childhood education in ethnic minority areas. This policy has been implemented in ethnic areas of Sichuan Province, China since 2015, and it helps these ethnic areas to establish more village-level kindergarten, and to solve the kindergarten admission problem for children, and also greatly promote the development of early childhood education. In order to further promote the quality development of early childhood education in ethnic minority areas. It is imperative to understand the current development situation of the “One Village, One Kindergarten” policy in ethnic minority areas. This research will focus on the implementation status as well as influencing factors of the “One Village, One Kindergarten” program during its implementation. It will use quantitative research methods, mainly use SPSS data analysis to explore of evaluation of implementation status of this policy, and also the influencing factors affecting the implementation; and are these factors related to the current implementation status of the “one village, one kindergarten” education policy. The results shows that the demographic analysis provides the study with an in-depth understanding of the characteristics of the surveyed population, which helps to provide a comprehensive understanding of their perceptions and evaluations of the “one village, one kindergarten” policy. The interviewees showed neutral cognition and evaluation of the current implementation status of the policy. The influencing factors play a crucial role in influencing the overall effectiveness and success of the policy. More importantly, relevant analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between the current status of policy implementation and influencing factors, which highlights the interdependence of factors that determine the success of policy implementation.
